I have been fairly inactive on WordPress lately, but that is mostly because of a bout of insomnia and working third shift. Here’s what I have for this week’s Photo Challenge.
Turkey vultures, aka turkey buzzards.
For my color, I chose black. It’s not my personality as a whole, but it is the color that I wear most often. Also, as a former graphic designer I like that the photo is a stark contrast, black on white with just a splash of red in the birds’ faces, (red also sort of works for me as an accent color, because (A) my birthstone is ruby (B) I have an occasional hot temper and (C) I love horror movies)
I took a few different approaches to this week’s challenge, hope you all enjoy!
A view from inside the foliage of a patch of sunflowers.
From inside the foliage of a chestnut tree.
Looking inside of a restaurant downtown.
Looking at a street festival from inside a coffee house.
From further back, my attention was drawn to the way the reflection imposed over the counter inside seemed to form new shapes and patterns.
But upon looking closer at the window, I see a much more natural, organic pattern on the window frame.
I have not had time to participate in the last few photo challenges, so this is sort of my late submission for two of the challenges:
A little concoction that I made for dinner, fajita salad (vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, yet doesn’t taste like cardboard!)
There will probably be a round 2 of these when I can plan ahead a little, but this is what I was able to crank out tonight!
Can’t wait to see what everyone else posted!
